the prettiest fall salad...
This is my favorite fall salad. Crunchy, tart, bitter, sweet, salty, and so, so pretty. Plus, perfect for your Thanksgiving table. The dressing is a Maple-Mustard vinaigrette and it’s delicious. This salad feeds about 4 people as a side dish, so multiply as needed for your holiday table. This beautiful platter comes from Hudson Grace and it’s one of my favorites.
The first day of winter calls for a chocolate-peppermint smoothie ❄️ Filled with lots of healthy ingredients like banana, avocado and cocoa, it’s the perfect treat while wrapping presents or running last minute errands. Plus it’s 100% kid friendly. Win win. Happy holidays 🎄
- 1 cup ice
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/2 a medium avocado
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 small, ripe banana
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Pinch of salt
Put all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth. Enjoy!
If you like this recipe, but don’t like peppermint, try a dash of almond extract in the smoothie instead.
